Transformers
Just back from the premier of the Transformers movie, and I gotta say: AMAZING MOVIE.
It's extremely balanced and leaves no unanswered questions, plus the characters are quite developed and somewhat complex (which is decent considering the number of protagonists and the film being only 2.5 hours long).
It's got action, comedy, passion... everything you need in a summer blockbuster. Even the fanboys will love it. Just as Hollywood is really losing it, it's great to see something of this calibre released from an American studio.
Without a doubt, the best movie of the past 5 years!
Now if it was set in the UK (as recent sci-fi blockbusters like Children of Men or 28 Weeks Later) it would be even more realistic and quite possibly the greatest film ever made...
Ah well someday someday.
Yeah..so ..er.. I went at 3pm to avoid the inevitable premier crowds later on, so I'd better get back to work
P.S. I wonder will I meet any stoopid yanks tomorrow who complain that Canada isn't celebrating 4th July
