Organised a trip!
Ive spent the last two days basically chilling out in the "FREE" car park and investigating the various trips that are available from Airlie Beach...
After a few days deliberation Ive decided that the most cost-effective way of visiting Whitehaven Beach (the main beach I wanted to visit) is to take a day trip on a sailing yacht called the "Ragamuffin". Its only 85 dolla too.. nice! The advantage of going on a yacht means that I can also take part in the running of the boat as it ventures out... I could pick up some sailing tips for my impending yacht purchase when I get more moola
Ive also found out a few nice deals on dive trips to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. For 200 euros I can get 10 dives, 3 days and 3 nights on the boat, all food and equipment plus an advanced dive course certification all inclusive! This really sounds good, but I have to decide if its within my budget.. 10 dives on the Great Barrier Reef here may well be all I need to do on the GBR this year (Ive heard tell that Cairns is a bit OVER-dived so probably wouldnt have as much fauna on display)
hmmm what else?... oh I tripped up on some muddy rocks and badly scraped me big toe.. ouch!
Tommorrow Im off to the Whitsunday Islands and Whitehaven Beach... time to grease up the old waterproof camera case again!
