Kununurra, Australia
In da Wescht!
Well here I is in WA... made it across from Darwin yesterday, despite my unquenchable thirst.
In fact it was about 42 degrees all day long and Ive developed a nasty addiction to Coca Cola (diet too, so at least I can keep fit ).. more specifically Caffeine. Its not doing me any good drinking 2 litres a day since I, in fact, get more thirsty after each one! It started in Queensland about 3 weeks ago, but Ill put an end to it today.. just one.. more... *guzzle guzzle*
Passed through the quarantine inspection on the border without a hitch. They dont want you bringing fruit or veg from outside into the Kimberlies..so I ...er.. hid my potatoes and fruit in amongst my bedclothes and showed the inspector my pack of lentils instead. He gave me the OK despite the full vegetable patch I had hidden in my bag.. ah well Im hardly gonna start planting my potatoes now am I?
On first impressions, Kununurra is a nice little town.. I camped out beside the lake last night and paid 2 dollars to have a shower at the BP station this morning. There aint much here, save for a few supermarkets so Im going to head off after writing this entry....
Will update soon...
